Often times when you take your car in for service or repair, receipts and repair invoices are either thrown in the trash or lost among piles of paperwork that accumulate in a desk drawer. However, if you think you’ve purchased a lemon, it is time to get organized.
Without the proper paperwork (i.e. purchase documents, warranty booklets, repair orders and invoices), it will be your word against theirs. Granted, paperwork may be obtained from the dealership, but often times these establishments will cease or reduce communication with the client once it is realized they are entering into a conflict.
You are far more likely to reach a resolution with the car manufacturer quickly and smoothly if you or your attorney presents them with detailed and meticulous records. Make the process easier and get organized.
